Replied by LA Color Shop The light is not all that compact but you can definitely use it with your Panasonic camera. You can also consider the Comer 900 light too.

Also, what else would I need besides this light to atach to the camera? I was initially looking at the Canon vl-5 or vfl-2 but saw this one. Can I also use it to bounce light off the ceiling? Nte that I need it for personal use, not professional use, would it be overkill? Appreciate your comments.

Replied by LA Color Shop Comer 900 light is suitable for compact camcorders. I believe the HF-S100 has a mini-shoe. You will need to get a shoe adapter so that you can mount standard accessory on it. Or you can mount your camera to bracket like these,

The light cannot be tilted. It is not meant to be shoot up to bounce light off. I don't think it is strong enough for that purpose.

The light is suitable for personal use creating great result.

Is this camera safe to mount on a panasonic GH1? I was thinking of getting 1 or 2 of the 1800s but heard about them accidentally punching holes in the GH1.

Also, approximately how long does it take for items to ship to Canada?

Replied by LA Color Shop It is safe to mount on Panasonic GH1. The GH1 has a hollow hot shoe that the dial might punch a whole into it. So beware not to apply excessive force.

Standard shipping takes about 5 to 10 business days. International Express takes about 3-5 business days. There is also a chance your local government cutsoms might withhold the package for inspection.
